We caught up with celebrity hair stylist Jamie Stevens to find out exactly how to recreate the gorgeously undone look that’s sweeping the red carpet.
“The tousled wave is the sexiest way to wear undone hair in 2012,” says Jamie, who has tamed the tresses of Elle Macpherson and Eva Herzigová.
“It’s a low-maintenance but glamorous look that is full of movement.”
Here are Jamie’s top tips for laidback beachy volume.
1. Make sure you prep hair by using a volumising shampoo and conditioner, this will give you a great foundation for the look.
2. Next, scrunch Matrix Loosely Defined Texture Crème into wet hair by getting the product really warm in your hands and working it through the hair until it is completely absorbed to create that beautiful soft movement.
3. Blow dry hair upside down using a medium sized round brush to ensure you have amazing root lift.
4. Use a teardrop of serum to tame frizz and give you a healthy shine, without making the hair heavy.
